Why you should hydrate your skin with a facial mist

We are big misting fans here at Hawthorn Handmade Skincare. To give your skin a hydrating boost, its important to include your facial mist in your daily skincare routine. Our facial oils and balms are nourishing and conditioning, BUT they do not contain water. Using a mist alongside oil based products helps with cell renewal and promotes a healthy skin function barrier. We have two options in our range, Prebiotic Facial Mist and Menopause Facial Mist.

Our Prebiotic Facial Mist nourishes your skin’s natural microflora.

It contains prebiotics which promote the presence of healthy bacteria on the skin, thereby diminishing the presence of harmful bacteria which may disrupt the skin’s microbiome. It is suitable for all skin types, but is especially beneficial for balancing oily skin.

Key Ingredients in our Prebiotic Facial Mist are:

  • Rose water - toning, calming + mildly antiseptic.

  • Aloe Vera - soothing + calming.

  • Inulin - naturally occurring prebiotic extracted from chicory.

  • Alpha-glucan oligosaccharide -  extracted from sugar beets, nourishes beneficial bacteria on the skin.

Menopause Facial Mist is NEW to the Hawthorn range.

It has been specially formulated to help alleviate skincare issues experienced during peri-menopause and menopause. Drench your skin with this hydrating infusion of natural ingredients. Soothe inflammation with aloe vera blended with refreshing rose and lavender flower waters. Lavender has been shown to have a positive impact on alleviating symptoms during menopause. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), brightens and evens out skin tone while stimulating collagen production, while hyaluronic acid is deeply hydrating. Especially beneficial for peri-menopausal and menopausal skin types.

How to use:

Shake well before use, then mist directly onto skin. Alternatively, mist onto a cotton cloth and sweep over skin. For best results, use after our Balancing Cleansing Oil. Can be used before moisturiser or over makeup at any time during the day. Suitable for all skin types, but remember to do a patch test on a small area when using for the first time.
