Rooted in Tradition, Inspired by Nature

Nestled on the shores of Lough Carra, at the foot of the Partry Mountains, our family’s heritage has been deeply rooted in this landscape for generations. Farming is at the heart of our way of life, and crafting is a tradition that has been passed down through the years.

After living in London for a number of years, I, felt a profound calling to return to rural Ireland and develop a craft business on my family farm. Taking inspiration from the rich natural heritage that surrounds us, I created Hawthorn Skincare.

Generations of Care in Every Product.

My mother, Kathleen, and I share a deep passion for creating 100% natural products that not only nourish your skin but also nurture your senses. Together, we handcraft each item with care, infusing our products with the essence of the natural world around us.

Farming Together, Crafting Together

Some of my earliest memories are of sitting perched on my father’s shoulders as he worked the land. His love for nature and the environment is a value he has instilled in me since childhood.

Today, my father, Seamus, continues to farm with the same dedication, and when he’s not tending to the land, he lends a hand in our studio.

It’s a family affair — when I’m not in the studio crafting skincare, I’m often found helping out on the farm.

Sustainability as Our Guiding Principle

Living in an area renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, our family has always felt a deep connection to the natural world. This connection comes with a strong sense of responsibility to protect and preserve the precious landscape around us.

Our farm is situated within an Area of Special Conservation and a Natural Heritage Area, which inspires our daily commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. At Hawthorn, we take a stand against excessive packaging and avoid ingredients such as palm oil, due to its often destructive production practices.
