Skincare Meditation

Your daily skincare routine is the ideal time to add a little mediation to your day. It’s the perfect way to nourish both your skin and your senses.

Dispense a small amount of product onto the palms of your hands, gently warm the oil or balm between your hands and apply to your skin.

Begin by taking a few deep breaths in and out through your nose, inhaling a deep breath of peace and letting go of anxiety or tension.

Notice how your body feels in this moment, becoming aware of your body as you in this moment. Bring awareness to any areas of your body where you feel tension. As you breathe, invite your breath to travel into those spaces where you feel tension.

Gently massage your skin focusing your energy towards the area of your body you are applying the product. As the product warms on your skin, inhale the aroma of the precious essential oils. Notice the the texture of the nourishing oils and butters on your skin, they are deeply hydrating. You are aware that you are nourishing your skin with every stroke. Be thankful for your beautiful, healthy skin.

As you bring your meditation to a close, turn your focus from inward to outward. Bring your awareness back to the environment around you.

Remember, you are beautiful and I love you.

Be sure to use enough product to ensure that you are not dragging or pulling the skin.

You can use affirmations during your mediation. Depending on what you need in that moment, you may use an uplifting affirmation or a calming one. For example, I am calm and at peace. Or I feel positive lifting energy.

Introduce this meditation as an extra step in your day or night routine. Once you get used to the practice, it will become part of your routine with every product you use.
